This may well be the scene I have photographed the most.  It is a spot that has fluctuated between one and three miles from my home over the past thirty plus years.  It hasn’t moved, I have.

Autumn colors, winter bare, spring emergence, summer lush.  Always a new look, always another opportunity.

But…

… I have sought visual thrill on many continents, in numerous climes and through various lighting conditions.  I have dreamt of printing grand onto canvas, metal, or glass.  And hanging over a mantel for ultimate gloating prospects.

But I should honor this location, this spot.

It has earned that.
