How do you capture interesting images on a dreary December day? It is much easier in the peak of autumn or the height of summer to find color, life, energy, movement. But for my father and I, our hike at Hale starred the color gray and featured bare trees, accompanied by fallen brown leaves.
We had to work that much harder to find the color – the green on the moss clinging to rocks by the river, the yellow from the setting sun reflected in the ice of a frozen pond.
We enjoyed the challenge; we attempted to capture the beauty. Here are my photographs.
Oh, and Merry Christmas!
