What a special moment this was. I had misplaced an item, and retraced my footsteps back to the these flowers I had photographed earlier. While examining the ground, this beautiful monarch butterfly fluttered down, and positioned himself on this flower right in front of me. I enjoyed a minute of capturing this insect’s magnificence with my camera, and then he departed.

What a gift!
