Never fails me, still, and after all this time.
The park nearby to my home has, for the past almost four decades, been a place for walks, photography, family time, getting in my steps, walking the dog, hanging with friends, and taking in a bit of nature.

A cursory glance through my photo library will show more images from this location than any other and that would be by a gargantuan margin.

I’ve been fortunate because that same walk through my photo library will show faraway spots, exotic trips, and a life filled with top tier photo ops. As I said, I’ve been fortunate.

But then there’s the park nearby. Like an old friend. Always right there, already ready for me, regardless of season or weather. It’s right there. Photographed through all the photography trends and gimmicks of the ages, including partial color, desaturated, high dynamic range extra punchy, and just about every other artistic mood I’ve ever experienced. The photo library shows all of it.

This place. Still there. Still my most willing subject. Still appealing to me in all its excess familiarity. Still the best, and…
… yeah, still the one.
