The tagline of this blog is: “Belief, beauty, and building bridges” which, admittedly, gives us a lot of leeway regarding what we decide to post here. However, thematically, we aim to stay on point, to provide messages related to faith and hope, to express something creative when it comes to how we see the world – most typically through photography – and try to build bridges. In our world and culture, we seem to spend more and more time digging chasms rather than building bridges, so we hope to provide what feels more and more like an alternative. If you hear John Lennon’s voice in your head singing “Come Together” then you get the point.
We are happy to introduce another form of expression by posting short, very short, stories that fit this blog’s theme. Flash fiction is typically defined as short stories of 1,500 or less words. Sometimes much less. These are vignettes, fragments, brief moments and, we hope, they will be thought provoking and worth your time.
Look for a search category entitled “Fiction” and two or more related posts per month. We’d love your feedback.
