Finding Our Way on The Way
If you choose to read this book, Dear Reader, then we will be embarking on a pilgrimage. For you, it will be literary, but for me, it was physical.
Topics explored in these pages include mindfulness, healing, religion, suffering, and independence. There are lots of photographs, and the text is in cursive; my handwritten letter to you.
Consume this book if you, like me, enjoy small bedside companion texts with pictures that feel like a friend you can have a conversation with, for this is not one-sided. I hope you will read with a pen in hand, use the blank spaces to ask questions, disagree with my words, push these ideas further and deeper. And then share with me! I am still learning too, just like you, and I know you all have so much to teach me. We are all pilgrims.
If this sounds interesting, then you are invited to come on this adventure in which we can work towards finding our way on The Way together.

Saving Organizations That Matter
On the one hand, this is a traditional business book aimed at leaders of organizations “that matter”, i.e., most typically not-for-profit, mission driven ones. In it, I draw from my experiences assisting such organizations undergo change, transform, and survive existential threats. I discuss leadership, culture, the characteristics that lead to decline… and then the strategies that can help propel the organization away from the edge of a waterfall and towards sustainable success.
On the other hand, leadership and culture are universal themes and the ideas here can prove helpful for anyone who experiences the pull of a waterfall and is looking for strategies to move toward calmer seas. I describe the notion of “running through tunnels of fire” and the necessary circumstances leaders must ensure if they are going to ask others to assume risk and face peril… but also to achieve greatness. It’s a book about meaning and hope as much as it is a traditional business book.
