While walking along a beach in Chatham, I came upon this little fellow enjoying his dinner. With only my x100f camera in hand, I knew I was going to have to get really quite close if I wanted a decent image. Treating this hawk as if he were Buckbeak, the hippogriff, I waited for over ten minutes. Eventually I approached, slowly and keenly aware that what I was doing was dangerous. I had to get extremely close to the bird in order to get this photograph.
