Project 15: Abstracts

This week’s project, Abstracts, brought us all over the place.  Near macro, intimate landscapes, long exposures, color, black & white, high contrast, low contrast… anything really went as we explored the wide open topic of abstract photography.  I enjoyed the project in that any scene in my path was fair game for capture yet the notion of shooting something abstract and, thus, un-obvious was constantly challenging… at least to me.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the task and the challenge.  Here are the rest of my entries for the week:

I really played around with slow shutter speeds this week. I wanted to create blurry, dreamlike images. My favorite one is the wooded path. I think it looks like a painting! This ended up being really fun and honestly I think I am going to work on getting better at taking more photographs that look like paintings.
