The idea here was to capture some images of items or scenes far removed from their heyday. Rather than simply photographing distressed properties, which felt a bit cliche to me, I looked for ways to tell the story less the cliche. Obviously, the post processing treatment is all to emphasize the effect.

I liked this theme and, in hindsight, wish I had chosen a week in the calendar when I had more time to get out and shoot [thus the limited number of images here]. Just the luck of the draw… and so it goes as we come into the homestretch of the 52 Projects Project.
