The Signs of Solitude

Images will be made. Archives collected. We will look back on The Great Pandemic of 2020 and see photos of empty parking lots, lonely stadiums, deserted amusement parks, uncrowded city streets.

And we will remember.

I have been drawn more to the signs of solitude that hit closer to home and which are more personal. Where there once were people–not just any people… members of my family–now there’s nothing.

You may some day glance at pages in a large book or hanging upon a wall in a gallery. They will show what we experienced. But the ones that are more personal will be the ones that will mean the most to you. Record this life. Use your cellphone camera. Take pictures. Notice… and capture it.

Life won’t be the same after.
