A Prayer to End Racism

Dear God,

We come to you in thanksgiving for bringing us together during these past few weeks, and for opening our eyes, minds and hearts more widely to the pain, suffering and indignity endured by many of our brothers and sisters through systemic injustice and racism.

Give us the grace and the courage to continue to “get close” and widen our vision – to see injustice through your eyes, feel injustice through your heart and to act against injustice as you have called us to do as Christians and the body of Christ. Give us the grace and the courage to do this work daily, to be “stone-catchers”, to guard the sanctity of every life, and to uphold the dignity of every person.

We ask you this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A prayer offered by Nancy Marrinucci at our recently completed four part series entitled “A Conversation About Racism”
