This week’s theme is “Warmth.”
Joey’s Interpretation:
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5: 14-16.
Let our light be warmth to this world, a comfort, a balm. And let our warmth be shared with all those in the house, without discrimination, without judgment.
Withholding our love is like withholding the warmth of the sun; without it, this world will surely perish.
Rey’s Interpretation: I was in LA for business but had two solid days of diversion in nearby Joshua Tree National Park. This provided two more days of doing what I love doing most of all: hiking in the desert. Most of this took place early or late to avoid the mid-day heat, but one hike in particular had me planted smack dab at the midpoint and making my way back to basecamp. “Warmth” is an understatement.

… let our warmth be shared with all those in the house, without discrimination, without judgment.
