Some fifty days or so ago, Joey embarked on a 365 day project he entitled “Why Photography”. Why? Because. I’ll let him explain it – see here.
Today, I take the baton and step forward with the project. For a spell. He’ll be back. Then I will. This has become a collaboration. And though we’ve each completed 365s before, this is our first joint effort.
What will I discover? I hope a few things. First, I am increasingly embracing minimalism in life and, I hope too, in art. Second, I’m going to narrow the focus. When I completed a 365 day project once before (see here), the objective was to mark time during an eventful year of my life, to document and to memorialize. This time, it’s going to be about the smaller moments. Finally, I’m hoping to become further acquainted with one tool, the Fujifilm X100V, which began as Joey’s companion and which now accompanies me.
Because 051 coming later tonight…
