Down From a Shelf

What brings you hope, release, respite? It’s important to know.

After spending time hiking alone, contemplating, disconnecting… the answer to these questions is clearer to me, more so than before. My daughter was right: it’s best not to pour your aspirations for peace, joy, calm, and rest into a container only to place that container up on a shelf to longingly admire. It’s better to – instead – sprinkle some of that all over yourself, your tasks and obligations, and as many in your path as possible every single day. It doesn’t take much to make a difference.
